OUR HISTORY
From a Moroccan family business to a leading regional group

Feu Omar Tazi
Founder of Sothema
Founded in 1976 by the late Omar Tazi, Sothema was born of a deep conviction: to contribute to the emergence of a Moroccan pharmaceutical industry serving the country's health sovereignty. This founding dream has become an exceptional journey.
Today, Sothema is the first Moroccan pharmaceutical company listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, and an industrial player whose reach now extends across an entire region. Over decades, Sothema has established itself as an essential regional pillar, present in Morocco, sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.
Backed by a long-standing cooperation with more than 50 leading international partners, and true to its founder's visionary legacy, Sothema continues to invest in innovation and industrial excellence to meet today's health challenges and anticipate those of tomorrow.
